What you can expect, and what we ask.

What this is, and what it is not.

Zealous Mirror reads character by what a person says they would actually do under pressure, across courage, wisdom, temperance and justice, and hands back that person's own read.

It is not therapy, not a diagnosis, and not a clinical measure. It is not validated, proven or accredited by any outside body, and we do not claim otherwise anywhere on this site. It is early, bounded and reproducible work. If you need real help, the community pages carry real numbers, and in the United States you can call or text 988 at any time.

Nothing here is a substitute for a doctor, a therapist, a lawyer or an accountant.

2. Your account

You need an account for your own read and workbench. You can join with a password or ask us to email you a sign-in link instead. Keep your sign-in to yourself; anyone who has it can read what you have written.

Ages. The conversation rooms are for adults, eighteen and over. An account for a child under thirteen needs a parent or guardian's verifiable consent under U.S. children's privacy law, and until that consent is in place the account is held. A person under thirteen is never charged for anything here.

You can leave. Delete your account from your account page at any time and your profile, answers and progress go with it. Nothing is kept.

3. What things cost

One page lists every price, and it is the one that governs. One thing on this site renews, the conversation rooms, and you can cancel it yourself from your billing page without asking us. Everything else is either free and staying free, or paid once.

People who were told something keep it. Every account made before the read started costing anything keeps the read free, because that is what the site said at the time. We do not take that back.

Refunds. If a charge does not look right, write to us and it is refunded. We would rather give the money back than argue about it.

Payments. Stripe takes the card and holds it. This site never sees a card number.

4. What is yours

Your answers, read, workbench and anything you write are yours. Your read is never shown to anyone else and never rolled into a public number, with one exception you control: if you join a team, the person who set it up sees your read, and you are told that in plain words before you join and can leave at any time.

We do not sell what you write, rent it, or share it with third parties, and we do not use it to train any model. (Privacy says the same thing and says it first.)

You give us only what we need to show your work back to you and to run the rooms you join.

5. What is ours, and the line inside it

The site, the writing, the lessons, the agents and the measurement method belong to Zealous Mirror Inc. There is a line inside that, and it is the important part:

• The sciences are open to you. What a measurement does, the reading it gives back, the method named, and the evidence behind a number. You can see all of it, you can question it, and you can re-run the parts we publish.
• The formulas are reserved. The weights, the composition and the derivation behind a number are not published and are not licensed by using this site. They are granted only in writing, to a named party, for a named purpose, with an end date.

You may write about your own read, quote it, and show it to anyone you like. You may not copy the site's writing wholesale, resell access to it, or present its method as your own work.

6. Suggestions and projects

You can suggest something at any time and it costs nothing. A suggestion is not a commitment by either of us, and most suggestions will not become anything, which is a normal outcome and not a judgement of you.

If a suggestion becomes a project, something built for a digital or physical purpose, then before any work starts we write down what is being built, who owns what comes out of it, what each of us puts in, and what happens if it stops. Nothing is built on an understanding. If a project involves an ecosystem formula, section 7 is agreed in the same document.

7. Use of the formulas, and the royalty

Approval to use an ecosystem formula is given in writing, to a named party, for a named purpose, and it can be withdrawn. It is an exception to section 5, never a change to it.

A party approved to use an ecosystem formula pays thirty five percent of the gross receipts of whatever uses it, invoiced by Zealous Mirror Inc. The rate, the basis and the end date are stated in the grant itself, and the grant governs if it says anything different.

This is a different thing from the affiliate programme, which pays thirty percent of a sale out to the person who referred it. Two different rates on purpose, running in opposite directions, so nobody has to work out which is which.

8. In the rooms

The rooms are for bringing something you are carrying and reflecting on what someone else brought. A reflection is a question, a reframe or a named cost. It is never a directive, and the decision always stays with the person who brought it.

Do not post someone else's private information, do not harass anyone, and do not sell anything. Every room has a named moderator, a person rather than an algorithm, and a post reported twice is hidden until they have looked at it.

Nobody is ranked here. There is no order, no highest and no lowest, and there never will be.

9. When we would close an account

We would close an account for harassing people, for posting someone else's private information, for trying to break into the site, or for reselling access. We would tell you why. If we close your account for anything other than those, you get back anything you paid for and have not had.

10. What we do not promise

We run this on our own server and we mean to keep it up, but we do not promise it is never down. We do not promise your read predicts anything about your future, because it does not: it is a reading of what you say you would do today, and it is not fixed.

We are one small company. To the extent the law allows, what we owe you if something goes wrong is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before it happened. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have that cannot be taken away.

11. Changes

If we change something that costs you money or changes what you are promised, we say so first and we say it before it happens, not after. That is a promise the site already made about the rooms and it holds for everything else.

12. Where this is decided

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Wyoming, where Zealous Mirror Inc. is incorporated. If something goes wrong, write to us first: [email protected]. We would rather fix it than be right about it.
